KIDS VOTING--Guilford County’s Student Advisory Board is seeking new members! The board’s goal is to enhance civic education and promote positive civic behavior in high school students through a variety of fun, educational activities.

This county-wide board for 9th-12th grade students meets on a monthly basis. Meetings include roundtable discussions with community leaders and planning or performing service activities. The board will plan and execute voter registration drives in their schools; "get out the student vote" activities; a candidate guide for local races; a "students only" candidate forum; Kids Voting’s annual patriotic art contest reception; and a Teen Leadership Summit. Members volunteer at the Kids Voting polls on Election Day and at other Kids Voting community events.

A great way to earn service hours and promote civic responsibility!

Any high school student who lives or attends school in Guilford County is eligible to apply.
