Important Dates and Deadlines

Tuesday, May 6th - North Carolina primary election day - Students in K-12th grade can participate in a mock vote for the NC primary.  The site will be available for voting from Monday, April 28 until Tuesday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m., when it will close.  Middle and high school students choosing the Democratic Party will need to know their districts for US Congress, State Senate, and County Commission if they would like to vote in those races.  Middle and high school students choosing the Republican Party will need to know their districts for State House of Representatives and County Commissioner if they want to vote in those races.  Click here to vote.  Click here for additional instructions and details!   Click here to see ballots for each age group and party.

Friday, October 10th - Deadline for adults to register to vote in the General Election.   For complete information, click here.

Tuesday, November 4th - ELECTION DAY 2008 - KIDS VOTING polls will be open from 6:30am to 7:30pm (same as adults)
